There are many paths, many gurus, many spiritual books, many scriptures, many forms of God, many preachers, many religions, many theories, many religion groups, many different rituals, many pilgrimages; and I could go on with the list.
How and why do I need to know and understand
“What is good for me in the area of spirituality and religion”
“What suits my character”,
“What teaching is it that I can identify with the most?”
“Which path am I able to spend my maximum time in?”
“Time spent in which reading, doing which ritual, praying to which God, following which Guru’s understanding creates the so longed for peace”
“Which scripture or spiritual book am I able to read again and again without boredom”?
“What image of God comes in my mind when I shut my eyes for prayer”?
I agree the goal of all sadhana is one and the ultimate spiritual experience also may be nearly the same.
What’s important to introspect is “How will I reach there”
Doing only what everyone else does, without the right understanding of “Why am I doing this and how much benefit have I received after investing as much time and energy in this manner” will not ever give the desired progress in religion.
You cannot scatter your precious time and energy in hundred different vibrations and places and then complain; how come I do not move ahead; It maybe because lack of understanding has driven you to too many different vibrational levels; there has never been enough concentration in one area which would help in the storage of shakti within yourself.
I personally have always been very selective about what I believe in religion. It becomes very important to be able to choose and select, “what is it that suits my inner nature and personality”.
I hold the utmost respect for all Form’s of God, for the entire Guru’s in this world, for all different religions; I do not criticize nor condemn any path or following; but I stand firm in my belief:
“One Form of God, One Guru, One path” –
When understood in the right manner and followed in total till the very end, will with guarantee give perfect results in your life.
Or else it becomes very easy to mix the perfect ‘Khichdi’ in our lives and die without moving ahead towards the Divine in spite of maybe having spent the maximum number of hours daily in various practices.
Greed never helped anyone, nor making a show of being very religious.
There is always a choice in life and also the free will given to us by God.
