ShreeNathji – Mahaprabhuji baithakji at Mansi Ganga

ShreeNathji – Mahaprabhuji baithakji at Mansi Ganga:

Pushtimarg Baithaks:

Baithaks in Pushtimarg religion are holy places where Shri Vallabhacharya, the founder of Pushtimarg, narrated the Holy Bhagvad Katha. They are total 84 in number and spread all over the country. Mahaprabhuji had circled the whole of India three times and done sthapna of these various Baithaks.

Each Baithak has its own particular Charitra (description).

Baithaks are holy places where there is no Idol or Chitra (Picture); sewa is done of Gaddi (Seating).

Baithaks are a very important pilgrim place for all Pushtimarg bhakts, as Shri Vallabhacharya is their primary Guru.

Here are some pictures displayed from the 10th Baithakji  of Shri Mahaprabhuji, located at the Mansi Ganga, Shri Govardhan.

This Baithakji is located at the foothills of Shri Govardhan.

Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhuji used to worship in the nearby area. Knowing that Shri Mahaprabhuji had arrived in the area, he approached him. Mansi Ganga had told Him that Shri Mahaprabhuji will be coming there and will fulfill all his desires. Then Mahaprabhuji sprinkled water into the eyes of Shri Krishna Chaitanya as well as over all the Vaishnavs around him. They all received spiritual insight and had the vision of the divine form of Mansi Ganga as being consisting of only milk. Everyone bathed in the divine lake. Soon after, the divine vision vanished.

Chakleshwar Mahadev (Shiva), daily came to listen to  Shri Mahaprabhuji.

It was here that a famous dialogue between Shri Mahaprabhuji and Shri Krishna Chaitanya took place. Shri Krishna Chaitanya said that in Kaliyug chanting of Lord’s name even for a moment will give you liberation. Shri Mahaprabhuji had a different view. He said that the Kaliyug is so bad that even if you miss to recite Lord’s name for a moment, you won’t be liberated.

Jai ShreeNathji

“Log kiya kahenge..”

“Log kiya kahenge, Kiya sochenge”..“What will people say, or think”..

We let these three words dictate our entire life and living; by ‘those’ who themselves have no idea what the right karm, or dharm should be in their own lives.

It shows a woman trying to look at me with one eye through her sari veil, as she has been conditioned to this way of life by the samaj (society) and tradition.

It symbolizes turning a blind eye to what the truth and humanitarian right action may be; in any situation.

We all become like this lady in the photo, who according to the customs of her community can see the world only through her sari veil.

Similarly we let the world put a veil across our minds and thus dictate what we should do or become, taking us away from the truth of the uniqueness of each human born on earth.

Majority of us humans live blindly; simply because there is safety in following the masses, and it is so easy, as then there is no sense of responsibility on your head.

Due to this dictate we live an entire life covered in the veil of fear. (Of what will people think or say!)

No thought is ever given to what might be the truth behind this living.

Jai Shreeji!
