Shri Vallabh Aachary 24th Baithakji at Shri Chitrakut

ShreeNathji-MahaPrabhuji 24th Baithakji at Chitrakut, Madhya Pradesh

Here are some pictures displayed from my visit to the 24th Baithak of Mahaprabhuji, located at Chitrakut on Shri Kantanath Parvat (श्री कान्तानाथ पर्वत,सतना), Satna, Madhya Pradesh.

Baithakji Charitr: (बैठकजी चरित्र)

On Shri Kantanath Parvat, Mahaprabhuji Vallabh Achary narrated Shrimad Bhagavad Puran(श्रीमद् भागवद पुराण). He also narrated the pavitr Ramayan Granth (रामायण पाठ); explaining the legends of Shree Ram and Sita mata.

Shree Hunumanji, daily came and stood on one foot when hearing the pavitr varta.

Though Mahaprabhuji requested Him to take his seat, Hanumanji refused saying that he had taken a sankalp.

Mahaprabhu Vallabhachary later explained that Shri Kantanath parvat is the brother of Shri Giriraj Parvat, therefore we should not walk on the sacred mountain.

Shri Kantanath parvat, wished that Mahaprabhuji bless him with the touch of his feet; so came disguised as a Brahman saying, “Shree Sita and Shree Ram have told me to tell you that They are on top of Shri Kantanath parvat and are very hungry so please bring them some food.”

Shri Mahaprabhuji then requested Damala to prepare bananas with sugar, cardaman, and rose water. At this Krishndas questioned, “How is it possible to offer the foodstuff to Shree Krishn and alsoto Shree Ram?” Shri Mahaprabhuji replied, “Shree Ram is no other than Shree Krishn, the only difference being that Shree Ram is controlled by law while Shree Krishn is governed by grace.”

Shri Mahaprabhu ji then went up on the parvat and saw Shree Sita and Shree Ram sitting with Laxshman by their side holding an umbrella. Hanumanji stood by with folded hands.

Shree Ram, taking Shri Mahaprabhuji’s hand made him sit next to him on his jewelled throne. After Shree Ram and Shree Sita partook of the bananas, Laxshman ji and Hamunan ji took the remains.

For some time Shree Ram and Mahaprabhuji became engrossed in divine discourse.

Shree Ram then said, “It was my great desire to partake food offered by your hand. Mahaprabhuji then took his leave and climbed down of Shri Kantanath parvat.

What are Pushtimarg Baithaks?

What are Pushtimarg Baithaks?

Baithaks in Pushtimarg religion are pavitr places where Shri Vallabhachary, the founder of Pushtimarg, narrated the Pavitr granth Shrimad Bhagvadji Katha.

It was almost always under the Chonkar vraksh of a Vat vraksh with an adjacent Kund. (water body)

They are total 84 in number and spread all over the country.

Mahaprabhuji had circled the whole of India three times and done sthapna of these various Baithaks.

Each Baithak has its own particular Charitr (description).

Baithaks are holy places where there is no Idol or Chitr (Picture); seva is done of Gaddi (Seating).

There are several Baithaks of Shri Vitthalnathji Gusaiji also. Many are in the same place as Shri Vallabh Achary. Other’s located by themselves wherever he went and rested.

Jai ShreeNathji Prabhu 🙏
