RESET YOUR NORMAL

‘Reset your normal..’ If you wish to continue to live in harmony and peace

(A note from a close friend, which I share with her permission)

How does one deal with the suddenness of a life threatening disease?

As it can completely throw you off all plans you might’ve made for the future..

‘Unless you reset your normal and acknowledge the realistic situation that has entered your life, you’ll continue to grapple in the dark emotions. Accepting the reality of what has happened is the first step to recovery ..’

As we count blessings..

Not many of us actually sit with a paper and pen to list all blessings we receive on a daily basis.

But until the moment we have consciously sat down to list the positive, blessed situations and relationships we have in our life, we’ll tend to over look some of the most extraordinary gifts granted to us.

I too like many of you, have read and heard this ‘Count your blessings’, truth enough times; of how we should always look on what we have rather then keep a track of all that is missing.

And I’ve acknowledged this fact also most of the time.

But this point by point listing; which is to sit and write it all on paper has been a literal eye opener.

To recognise and experience this fact of counting blessings daily; took a serious illness with an extreme surgery and a very low point in my health status. Once the worst was over, I found it tough coming to terms with what had happened and experienced tremendous anger and loss, with a desire to isolate myself and most of the days not get out of bed.

Tough to understand though, that there are times when serious illnesses could be actually a blessing in disguise (this is a general term and many serious illness can be fatal too). They make you sit back and rethink all that is important in your life; if all that you were doing is actually worth anything anymore.

A major lifestyle change is priority. It forces you to take a complete physical, physiological, mental, emotional detox.

It pushes you into making lifestyle changes; changes which you never thought you had the strength to go through. And once put in that changed lifestyle where preserving health becomes a priority, there is no other way you’d wish to live.

As then you will have tasted the benefits of self discipline and self regulation; in several areas of your life. Most importantly of what you eat and when you eat. Body actually feels like a mandir where each morsel of food you put in, matters.

This is my thought five months into recovery from cancer surgery.

I give thanks each day for receiving the energy to be out of bed and doing normal chores; and have learnt to live from day to day; or as all my therapists have told me to henceforth plan and live three months at a time.

As limited types of food is permitted life has become simple; no longer I am planning meals from the time I wake up.

Life has also become about taking care of my emotional health before anything or anyone else. As realising that if I am not emotionally healthy I will be toxic to all around me. Will spread the poison of negativity and despair with my unhealthy emotions.

Finally taught me to express gratitude to the Shaktis who gave strength to live from each day to the next day.. gave courage and understanding to accept what happened,

and most important not to ask this oft repeated question “WHY ME”.. As I understand today that I am the only creator of any and every situation I face in my life.

Hindu Bhojan mantr-Prarthna before meals

HINDU BHOJAN MANTR (prarthna before partaking of meals)

Brahmarpanam brahm havih – r- brahma maagrau brahmana hutam

Brahmaiv ten gantavyam brahm-karm-samadhinaa

Om Saha Naav[au]-Avatu

Saha Nau Bhunaktu

Saha Viiryam Karavaavahai

Tejasvi Naav[au]-Adhiitam-Astu Maa

Om shantih shantih shantih

(The above Shlok is from the Bhagavad-Gita {chapter4 shlok 24} which is also chanted together as Bhojan Mantr)

The act of eating is considered to be a sacred time (ie if we regulate our meals and not eat all through the day)

As per Hindu scriptures a meal should begin with the appropriate bhojan prarthna; a prarthna of offering food to the Brahm within us all. A prarthna of gratitude and peace. So that the bhojan taken gives us good positive energy and peace.

A simple thought of being grateful for the food that is before you is powerful enough to turn it into positive energy.

Take only as much as you are going to eat. Wastage of ann (food) is being disrespectful of the food you receive.

The Divine only wants love..

Man tadpat Hari Darshan Ko Aaj”..

(This post is about a Hindi bhajan, listen to it and try to understand two facts)

दो बातें समझनी हैं;

(Without the Sadguru, it is very difficult to reach and merge with God)

(To merge with the divine shakti, the only requirement is purity of bhao..and the Sadgurus kripa.

Humanity is important for closeness with the divine. Caste does not matter in bhakti)

(Shree RadhaKrishn, ShreeNathji had several Muslim bhakts; many of them had Their sakshatkar too; God did not see if the bhakt was a Hindu or a Muslim, He only and only, felt the purity of the soul calling out to Him in devotion)

Below is a beautiful Hindi devotional bhajan. It is shown how the entire team was Muslim, yet there was immense devotion present in all the group who made this bhajan.

It is an audio clip describing a beautiful bhajan…..Naushad Ali speaks about the making of this  devotional song 🎼where the entire team was Muslim singing a Hindu bhajan in complete devotion.”

Godhra-Vallabhacharya 70th Baithakji Motabhaiji Shri Gokulnath mandir, Shri Gusainji Baithakji mandir

Godhra Pushtimarg Baithkji

Shri Godhra Baithakji Number 70

Shri Gusainji Baithakji mandir

Motabhaiji Shri Gokulnath mandir

Baithaks in Pushtimarg religion are holy places where Shri Vallabhacharya, the founder of Pushtimarg, narrated the Holy Bhagvad Katha. They are total 84 in number and spread all over the country. Mahaprabhuji had circled the whole of India three times and done sthapna of these various Baithaks.

Each Baithak has its own particular Charitra (description).

Baithaks are holy places where there is no Idol or Chitra (Picture); sewa is done of Gaddi (Seating).

Baithaks are a very important pilgrim place for all Pushtimarg bhakts, as Shri Vallabhacharya is their primary Guru.

Shri Vallabhacharya was born in the VS 1535 or AD1478.

It was on Vaishak Vad Giyaras (11th) in Vikram Samvat 1535, or AD 1478; in Satbhisha Nakshatra on a Thursday; during the Abhijit mahurat, 12.40-1.00 in the afternoon; when ShreeNathji’s Lotus Face Appeared from Govardhan to give His divya Darshan to the lucky people of the village; According to Shree Krishn’s desire, on the same day but in the Abhijit mahurat, 12.40-1.00 at night, Shree Vallabhacharya also appeared at Champaran in a ring of fire.

70th Baithakji at Godhra

At Godhara, Shri Mahaprabhuji stayed at the home of His disciple, Rana Vyasa. Before he tookinitiation, he was a great scholar of the shastras and was very proud of his extensive knowledge. Once, when he was defeated in a debate, he was so depressed that he decided to drown himself in the Ganges. At that time, Shri Mahaprabhuji was making His prayers on the nearby bank and Krishnadasaji askedhim what was the fruit received on drowning oneself in the Ganges. The guru replied, “That soul wouldundergo seven hellish lives and would achieve no fruits here or elsewhere.”

Overhearing these words, Rana Vyasa approached Shri Mahaprabhuji and surrendered to His lotus feet.Rana Vyasa admitted the reason for his unjustified act. Shri Mahaprabhuji showered His Grace Divineupon him by accepting him in the Path of Grace. He then taught him a small, four versed doctrine

(Chatuh Shlok) and assured him that he would now be able to defeat anybody in debate.

After seeking permission from his guru, Rana Vyasa returned to the debate with loads of confidence.Within a short time, he defeated the opponents. Pleased with the victory of His disciple, ShriMahaprabhuji granted him a beautiful idol of Shri Nava Nita Priyaji, which he devoutly served at hishome in Godhara.

When Shri Mahaprabhuji visited his home in Godhara, He initiated his wife and explained to them thechapter of Venu Gita from the Bhagavata.

Soul’s Demand

Walking on the spiritual path sometimes asks for the extreme in sacrifice and faith.

Also at every step one is put through exams, by the Superior Intelligence; to verify if one is truly ready to move on to the next step.

Soul Demands

Jai Shreeji!!

Call of your Soul

                                                                                Call of your soul

Walk your path in faith fearlessly

Walk your path in faith fearlessly

“No matter what everyone else thinks or says, if your own intentions are right, do not be afraid – there are moments when you have to follow the call of your soul. If you want to reach anywhere high stop giving unnecessary importance to voices around”.

“Most of them do not even understand what’s happening; all they’re interested is trying to stop anyone from moving away from what “they’ think is the right way to do things”.

I clarify this, as many have this wrong understanding;  “if one is in search for the truth and depth in spirituality; the person is trying to run away from responsibilities and has stopped caring”.

I would like to state here that “deeper insights and higher spirituality teaches one to become more responsible and develop greater compassion towards all”.

There is a greater flowing of divinity and love, and even being in the close proximity of these seekers a regular flow is always received by all around.

This misconception about true religion and spiritual growth needs to be corrected in the minds of them, who may have understood wrongly.

Without neglecting any worldly responsibilities, I have to move fast. –  I cannot miss the opportunity provided by God to experience the highest peak and bliss – I have to move deeper – I know what I want to do and there will be no human power to stop me from reaching the highest summit of spirituality and God realization.

I can see ShreeNathji smiling at me as I write this.

With His hand on my head like an umbrella, I have all the protection and blessings I need….

Destruction is not positive progress

Why as the great, progressive, loving, compassionate humans

that we like to call ourselves do we make weapons?

To spread love? To spread humanity?

                                                                Obviously no :

We try to make ourselves believe wrongly that we are spreading a lot of love and are capable of receiving as much; and are progressing as a human race.

                                                                            BUT:

Can destroying nations, people, and nature be called love or humanity in any possible way?

                                       Destruction is not positive progress.

All talk about Love. All want love.

All have a need to belong.

Weapons are made only to create fear; to bring destruction

Can jealousy be a part of love? Can there be expectation in love?

All try to make a show of being compassionate.

Can creating fear in any way be associated with love?

ShreeNathji-Can God enjoy a vacation please?

Shreenathji
Complete Shringar Darshans

The beginning of another year; 2009. This day is celebrated as a world wide holiday.

I visited ShreeNathji’s mandir today morning and received this thought again from Him,

“Tum sab loag chutti manate ho, mujhe new year ki chutti kiyon nahi milti hai? Mujhe bhi ghumne vacation par jana hai. Main boar ho gaya hun, yahan mandir main chupchaap rehkar. Yeh mukhiya kuch naya toh sochta hi nahi hai, bas vahi purane khel karte rahte  hain.”

Why do I not have a holiday like you all humans, so I can go off work and enjoy MySelf,? I too want to go off on a vacation like you humans. i am tired and bored of staying in this mandir. This Mukhiya never thinks of anything new, they all keep playing the same old games with me”

ShreeNathji Haveli at Nathdwara

ShreeNathji had mentioned the same to us earlier at Nathdwara.

God ShreeNathji meant to say, it could be a possibility that God is tired standing in His mandir 24/7 all year, completing His karma of giving Darshans to all humans; why has no one ever thought to let God also enjoy a holiday, when He could be free to do whatever He wishes; will not be bound by the temple rules; Maybe ShreeNathji would love to take off some days and be on His vacation?

Please visit Shreeji’s website www.shreenathjibhakti.org  for details about our conversations with Him. He is the most alive Form of God today in our world!!
