Karagaar (Prison) is the place where Bhagwan Shree Krishn took birth to Devki maa and Shri Vasudev; in the Dwapur Yug and was immediately carried away in the dark night by Nand Baba to Gokul.

On my visit here, I found the security to be very extensive, which did not make sense as there are several super sacred spots in Vraj which have been left to deteriorate and vanish. The only reason for this high alert security as I later realised, is because of the mosque built adjacent to this mandir.

The Shree Krishn Janm bhumi complex today:

Under the chairmanship of Swami Shri Akhandananda Saraswati, the then Vice President of the Trust, a group of enthusiastic young volunteers of Mathura started clearing the mounds and filling up the pits through Shram Daan on the auspicious day, 15th October, 1953.

Later, the work continued for several years with great perseverance under the leadership of Shri Babulal Bajaj and Shri Phool Chand Khandelwal.

Thus began the restoration and construction of the karagaar (prison) and the magnificent Shri Krishna Janmasthan complex, which was completed in February 1982 and what we see today.

 The sacred mandir that stands today is the 5th or 6th remake of the original destroyed by the Moghul’s over and over again.

आज मथुरा में जिस जगह पर श्री कृष्‍ण जन्‍मस्‍थान के दर्शन है, वह पांच हजार साल पहले राजा कंस का कारागार हुआ करता था।

रोहिणी नक्षत्र में आधी रात को भगवान कृष्‍ण का जन्‍म इसी कारागार में हुआ था।

कटरा केशवदेव को ही कृष्ण जन्मभूमि माना है।

राजा बज्रनाभ जो श्री कृष्ण के प्रपौत्र थे, यहाँ पहला मंदिर बनवाया था।

इतिहास में लिखा है की दूसरी बार राजा विक्रमादित्य ने मंदिर का निर्माण करा था। राजा चंद्रगुप्त विक्रमादित्य द्वारा बनवाए गए इस भव्य मंदिर पर महमूद गजनवी ने सन १०१७ ई. में आक्रमण करा था। उस ने इसे लूटने के बाद पूर्ण रूप से तोड़ दिया था।

तीसरी बार राजा विजयपाल देव ने इस मंदिर का निर्माण करा जो सिकंदर लोदी ने तोड़ा।

चौथी बार इस मंदिर का निर्माण राजा वीर सिंह देव बुंदेला ने करा; जो औरंगजेब ने १६६९ में तुड़वाया

और इसके एक भाग पर ईदगाह का निर्माण करा।

Baithakji Charitr: (बैठकजी चरित्र)

Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhachayra stayed for three days at Maan Sarovar discussing the Shrimad Bhagavat.

Once, Damala awoke in the middle of the night and noticed that his guru was missing.

A few hours later, Shree Krishn appeared before Damala who exclaimed, “Today I am certainly blessed to have your supreme vision. “

Shree Krishn than told Damala, “Today, Shrew Radha has become very displeased with me.”

Later, Shree Radha came to meet Thakurjee and Their reuinon was re established.

Damala and Shri Mahaprabhuji had the sight of this divine pastime. All of this transpired while the other Vaishnavas were deep in sleep.

What are Pushtimarg Baithaks?

What are Pushtimarg Baithaks?

Baithaks in Pushtimarg religion are pavitr places where Shri Vallabhachary, the founder of Pushtimarg, narrated the Pavitr granth Shrimad Bhagvadji Katha.

It was almost always under the Chonkar vraksh of a Vat vraksh with an adjacent Kund. (water body)

They are total 84 in number and spread all over the country.

Mahaprabhuji had circled the whole of India three times and done sthapna of these various Baithaks.

Each Baithak has its own particular Charitr (description).

Baithaks are holy places where there is no Idol or Chitr (Picture); seva is done of Gaddi (Seating).

There are several Baithaks of Shri Vitthalnathji Gusaiji also. Many are in the same place as Shri Vallabh Achary. Other’s by themselves wherever he went and rested.

#CMOyogi आपसे निवेदन है सभी व्रज प्रेमियों का, पहले संरक्षण (preservation) और मरम्मत (restoration) के लिए funds दीजिए। नए विकास (development) की यहाँ जगह और ज़रूरत इस समय नहीं है 🙏

– first step towards responsibility for Vraj Mandal is preservation and restoration of what is left.

(Several things are already beyond repair).

If nothing is done even today for preservation, Vraj will be in a crisis situation.

CM YOGI COMING TO VRINDAVAN TO INAUGURATE THE BIGGEST PARK IN INDIA😥 Our plea to this government who is spending multi crores to hide the sad state of Vraj.. ख़ुश होने की बात है? नहीं!!

The crores and crores they sign on papers need to be used for preservation first. If preserved there will be no need to create anything new. Vraj Mandal cannot be marked as a tourist spot.

It’s excellent that the present government is giving any thought to re development of Vraj.

Sadly this re development will not work till preservation and restoration is given priority.

One just has to take a walk on Vrindavan Parikrama marg to see the degradation of this pavitra Dham.

– We first need to vacate the encroachment on the marg and make a walkway at Shri Yamunaji. From where bhakts can access the pavitr leela sthals of Shree RadhaKrishn.

– Removing the monkey menace is the second step in taking care of our pavitr Dham. All peacocks are being driven away by this menace and bhakts walk in fear.

– Pigs have entered every sacred sthal, including at Shri Govardhan. Which need to be removed ASAP. Five years ago none were there.

Someone is trying to destroy the pavitrata of Hindu teerths.

– Entire Chatikara pavements have already been taken over by the illegal hawkers.

– The Nagar Palika and Police force should become accountable.

The people in power never see the REAL VRAJ PROBLEMS. As every thing is cleared and cleaned at the areas where they visit.

In olden days the Raja and Maharajas walked around their cities in disguise to SEE THE REAL STATE OF THEIR LAND.

Wonder what Vraj Mandal we are leaving for our children and grandchildren.

They will only be able to see the original reality in some photos or videos which bhakts may have uploaded.

And Girirajji Govardhan is in the worst of state today.

All just TAKE..TAKE..TAKE.

May the present government see the truth of their actions.

The crores and crores they sign on papers need to be used for preservation and restoration first. If preserved there will be no need to create anything new.

The old and ancient pavitrata if returned to Vraj Mandal will be enough for the higher divine shaktis.

OR ELSE THESE SHAKTIS WILL NO LONGER BE AROUND.

दिव्य शक्तियों को साफ़, सुथरा पवित्र वातावरण चाहिए.

नहीं तो वह दिन दूर नहीं, की वे सब भूतल में गहरी उतर जाएँगी और हम हाथ मलते रह जाएँगे, अपने दुर्भाग्य पर। हमारे बच्चों को दर्शन का लाभ नहीं मिल पाएगा, और हम सब इसके ज़िम्मेदार होंगे।

Vishram Ghat is the place where Shree Krishn rested after killing His mama Kans.

 

 

 

Visharam Ghat, Mathura, द्वारका दीश मंदिर से 30 मीटर की दूरी पर, नया बाज़ार में स्थित है। यह मथुरा के 25 घाटों में से एक प्रमुख घाट है। विश्राम घाट के उत्तर में 12 और दक्षिण में 12 घाट है। यहाँ अनेक सन्तों ने तपस्या की एवं अपना विश्राम स्थल बनाया। विश्राम घाट पर यमुना महारानी का अति सुंदर मंदिर स्थित है। यमुना महारानी जी की आरती विश्राम घाट से ही की जाती है। विश्राम घाट पर संध्या का समय और भी आध्यात्मिक होता है।

धार्मिक मान्यता

भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने कंस का वध कर इस स्थान पर विश्राम किया था इसलिये यहाँ की महिमा अपरम्पार है। कहा जाता है कि भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने महाबलशाली कंस को मारकर ध्रुव घाट पर उसकी अन्त्येष्टि संस्कार करवाकर बन्धु−बान्धवों के साथ यमुना के इस पवित्र घाट पर स्नान कर विश्राम किया था। श्रीकृष्ण की नरलीला में ऐसा सम्भव है; परन्तु सर्वशक्तियों से सम्पन्न सच्चिदानन्द स्वयं भगवान श्रीकृष्ण को विश्राम की आवश्यकता नहीं होती है। किन्तु भगवान से भूले–भटके जन्म मृत्यु के अनन्त, अथाह सागर में डूबते–उबरते हुए क्लान्त जीवों के लिए यह आवश्यक ही विश्राम का स्थान है।

सौर पुराण के अनुसार विश्रान्ति तीर्थ नामकरण का कारण बतलाया गया है−

ततो विश्रान्ति तीर्थाख्यं तीर्थमहो विनाशनम्।

संसारमरू संचार क्लेश विश्रान्तिदं नृणाम।।संसार रूपी मरूभूमि में भटकते हुए, त्रितापों से प्रपीड़ित, सब प्रकार से निराश्रित, नाना प्रकार के क्लेशों से क्लान्त होकर जीव श्रीकृष्ण के पादपद्म धौत इस महातीर्थ में स्नान कर विश्राम अनुभव करते हैं। इसलिए इस महातीर्थ का नाम विश्रान्ति या विश्राम घाट है। इस महातीर्थ में स्नान एवं आचमन के पश्चात् प्रतिवर्ष लाखों श्रद्धालु लोग व्रज मण्डल की परिक्रमा का संकल्प लेते हैं और पुन: यहीं पर परिक्रमा का समापन करते हैं।

Brahmand Ghat: Purani Gokul – Mahavan, Mathura – Vraj Mandal

Just a few meters ahead of Raman Reti and Nand Bhavan along the banks of the river Yamuna is another sacred spot – the Brahmand Ghat.

This is the spot where an Shree Krishn had shown the entire universe or Brahmand in his mouth to His mother Yashoda. That is how the place came to be known as the Brahmand Ghat.

A small temple built as a remembrance to this divya leela near the Brahmand Ghat. Shri Yamunaji flows below.

Radha Rani birth mandir at Rawal-Vraj Mandal

Shree Radha Rani birth (Pragaty) mandir at Rawal, which is located in Mahavan at Mathura.

राधा रानी का जन्मदिवस या प्रागटिय दिवस, राधाष्टमी के नाम से जाना जाता है। भाद्रपद मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की अष्टमी को रावल और बरसाना में धूमधाम से राधारानी का जन्मदिवस मनाया जाता है।

Rawal is situated 9km (6 miles) south of Mathura, on the other side of the Yamuna River which is about halfway between Mathura and Gokul.

ब्रह्मवैवर्त पुराण के अनुसार, श्री राधा रानी का जन्म उनकी माता के गर्भ से नहीं हुआ है। वह श्रीकृष्ण के जैसे ही अजन्मी हैं। नृग पुत्र राजा सुचन्द्र और पितरों की मानसी कन्या कलावती ने द्वादश वर्षो तक तप करके श्रीब्रह्मा से राधा को पुत्री रूप में प्राप्ति का वरदान मांगा। फलस्वरूप द्वापर में वे राजा वृषभानु और रानी कीर्तिदा के रूप में जन्मे। दोनों पति-पत्नि बने।

Rawal is the only place in our world, where Shrimati Radha Rani is worshiped in Her Lalan (child) swarup.

पूर्ण दुनिया में केवल रावल ही वो स्थल है जहां श्री राधा को लालन स्वरूप में पूजा जाता है ।

This is the sthal where Her father, Raja Vrishbhanu found Her lying in an open lotus.

“This is village  Raval, where  Shree Radha Appeared, and by Her auspicious Appearance the whole world was filled with joy.”

Once Raja Vrishabhanu went to the Yamuna river to take bath. He saw a golden lotus flower that shone brilliantly  in the middle of the river. In centre of the Kamal was baby Srimati Radharani. Shree Brahmdev appeared before Raja Vrishabhanu and told him that in his previous life he and his wife, Kirtida, had performed great Tup to get Her as their daughter.

RajaVrishabhanu took the divine baby home, but found her to be blind. Soon Narad Muni appeared before the Raja and explained that despite the child’s blindness he should go ahead and perform all the auspicious birth ceremonies.

It is said Radha eyes weren’t open till the age of 11 months 15 days. After 11 months 15 days Shree Krishn was born. Nand Baba invited everybody to celebrate Shree Krishn’s birth. Raja Vrishbhanu and Ma Kirti were also invited. Shree Krishn lay in the  palna. At that moment ShreeRadha saw ShreeKrishn and  opened her eyes.

The small mandir here is called Larly-Lal. The Vigrah of ShreeRadha and ShreeKrishn are said to be installed by Raja Vajranabh, Shree Krishn’s great grandson.IMG_5017

The wall that you see behind the main deity is Garbhgriha i.e., Janamsthan – The location where ShreeRadha Appeared. During those years Yamunaji used to flow at this location and on the Yamunaji Tat Raja Vrishbhanu lived in his mahal.

There is a Karil (Ker fruit tree) tree within the mandir area (near Garbhgriha ) where deity of Radha ji was found by the forefathers ( Parmanand Vyas came from Jodhpur, Rajasthan) of the current mukhiyaji. This Karil tree does not have any roots and is still green.

 20TH BAITHAKJI AT KOKILA VAN AT Vraj Mandal

Here by the Krishn Kund, under a tree, Mahaprabhu Vallabhachayra resided for one month discussing the Shrimad Bhagavatam. Their Chaturnaga a disciple of the Nimvark Sampradays approached Mahaprabhuji and said, “we have heard that you support the path of Devotion as taught by Vshnu Svami and have debated and defeated all the Mayavadians in the south. Please shower you infinite grace on the thousand hermits living here by feeding them all rice pudding.

Mahaprabhuji then told Krishnadas to bring five kilos of milk and make the pudding for the hermits. When the pudding was prepared, Mahaprabhuji glanced over it and it became an inexhastable five kilos of pudding. The thousand hermits were feed the pudding in bowls made of leaves and even after everyone had finished, the same five kilos of pudding remained. Mahaprabhuji then told Krishnadas to distribute the rest of the pudding to all the peacocks and monkeys in the areas, but even after that the original five kilos of rice pudding remained. Only when Vasudevadas took the remains of the pudding to his home did the five kilos of pudding finally diminish.

Chaturnaga seeing this amazing pastime prayed, “you are no other than the Lord Himself. I was ignorant of your true form, but now I pray t be made you disciple.”

Shri Mahaprabhu replied, “you already have a guru, but by the grace of my grandson, Shri Gokulnathji who will appear in the future, you will enter into the path of Grace.”

Chatrunaga questioned, “what will be my condition intil then.”

“You will live for 150 years and then my grandson Shri Gokulnathji will shower his grace on you during your 110 th year.”

For many years, Chaturnaga wander about in to holy preceints of Vrindavan always absorbed in the Lord’s divine remembrance. Once, while rambling about, his hair got tangled on a branch and for three days he could not free himself. Then Shri Krishna came and untangle his hair. During that time, King Jahangir order that all Tulsi necklaces worn by the Vaishnavas not to be worn. Chaturnaga fell a victum to the order and fhad his necklace removed. Shortly later, Chaturnaga passed Shri Gokulnathji in Mathura. Shri Gokulnathji called, “Chaturnaga, although we are married people, we did not take off our tulsi necklaces. How is it that you a hermit had yours removed?”

Chaturnaga prostrated before Shri Gokulnathji and holding on to his feet said with welling eyes, “After so long a wait have net you. Kindly accept me as your disciple and give me Tulsi necklace.”

Gokulnathji knowing the promise of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya made Chaturnaga his disciple. From that time, Chaturnaga always went about sing the glories of his guru. At the age of 150 he dropped his body at Govinda lake by the Govaradhan hill and enter into Krishna’s lila.

Here by the Krishn Kund, under a tree, Mahaprabhu Vallabhachayra resided for one month discussing the Shrimad Bhagavatam. Their Chaturnaga a disciple of the Nimvark Sampradays approached Mahaprabhuji and said, “we have heard that you support the path of Devotion as taught by Vshnu Svami and have debated and defeated all the Mayavadians in the south. Please shower you infinite grace on the thousand hermits living here by feeding them all rice pudding.

Mahaprabhuji then told Krishnadas to bring five kilos of milk and make the pudding for the hermits. When the pudding was prepared, Mahaprabhuji glanced over it and it became an inexhastable five kilos of pudding. The thousand hermits were feed the pudding in bowls made of leaves and even after everyone had finished, the same five kilos of pudding remained. Mahaprabhuji then told Krishnadas to distribute the rest of the pudding to all the peacocks and monkeys in the areas, but even after that the original five kilos of rice pudding remained. Only when Vasudevadas took the remains of the pudding to his home did the five kilos of pudding finally diminish.

Chaturnaga seeing this amazing pastime prayed, “you are no other than the Lord Himself. I was ignorant of your true form, but now I pray t be made you disciple.”

What are Pushtimarg Baithaks?

Baithaks in Pushtimarg religion are pavitr places where Shri Vallabhachary, the founder of Pushtimarg, narrated the Pavitr granth Shrimad Bhagvadji Katha.

It was almost always under the Chonkar vraksh of a Vat vraksh with an adjacent Kund. (water body)

They are total 84 in number and spread all over the country.

Mahaprabhuji had circled the whole of India three times and done sthapna of these various Baithaks.

Each Baithak has its own particular Charitr (description).

Baithaks are holy places where there is no Idol or Chitr (Picture); seva is done of Gaddi (Seating).

There are several Baithaks of Shri Vitthalnathji Gusaiji also. Many are in the same place as Shri Vallabh Achary. Other’s located by themselves wherever he went and rested.
